Species such as English Oak and European Oak are highly regarded for their durability, structural reliability and attractive grain, making them ideal for traditional and contemporary joinery alike. Sapele and African Mahogany are commonly used for doors and windows due to their stability and smooth finish, offering a refined appearance with good resistance to movement. Douglas Fir (Oregon Pine) and Idigbo provide strong, versatile alternatives. Selected Elm produces beautiful internal doors and staircases.
