Decking AND cladding

Decking and cladding timber is used for external architectural applications such as garden decking, building façades, wall cladding, soffits and exterior feature panelling. It is also widely used in landscaping and outdoor living environments where both structural performance and visual appeal are important, helping to define and protect building exteriors while enhancing natural aesthetics.

This application requires timber with strong weather resistance, dimensional stability and durability under constant exposure to moisture, UV light and temperature changes. Species such as Western Red Cedar are highly valued for cladding due to their natural durability, low density and excellent stability. Teak, Ipe and Opepe are premium choices for decking because of their hardness, and resistance to rot and wear, making them ideal for high-traffic outdoor surfaces. European Oak also performs well in both traditional and contemporary external cladding, offering strength, longevity and a distinctive natural character that weathers attractively over time.
